Herky and the Iowa Dance Team have joined the UI football squad as Hawkeyes with national rankings.

The Iowa Dance Team will stage a one-day convention that will feature routines taught by its members, technique classes and more.

Those who provide a good chunk of the energy, excitement and color at home and select away events of University of Iowa athletics teams - the Iowa Spirit Squads - now have a home on the world wide web.

Appearances by the Iowa Spirit Squads are among the activities scheduled as part of the first annual FRYFest.

Hosted by the University of Iowa Sports Camps, these individual based camps will help cheerleaders and dance team members get ready for skills at the collegiate level. Dancers will cover all styles of dance, motion technique plus skills (turns, leaps, jumps) work.

Alumni a chance to come back to Iowa City during the summer, bring the family with and have a relaxing time with other Alumni. Hosted in City Park bring your own food and enjoy an afternoon with former teammates. Usually hosted in late June.

As the Iowa Spirit Squads prepare to depart for Nationals they will invite some of the top teams from around the State of Iowa to Exhibition at Cream of the Crop. The Iowa Spirit Squads use this as a final dress rehearsal. All are welcome to come and watch. The exhibition will take place in the Fieldhouse North Gym.

Cheerleaders and Mascots learn the latest from current Iowa Cheerleaders and Herky Security members. This clinic usually takes place in late November.

A chance to meet the Iowa Dance Team and Iowa Cheerleaders and learn some moves from them. At this clinic participants will learn basic skills on both the cheerleading and dance team side,

Here is an opportunity for your little cheerleader/dancer to participate on the floor of Carver Hawkeye Arena at a Women's Basketball game. Participants will attend a clinic before the day of the game to learn the Halftime material, meet current squad members, take a picture with Herky and have lots of fun.

This Annual event takes place in the Fall during a Hawkeye Football game. With various events through out the weekend it is a great opportunity to reconnect with former teammates, as well as get to know the current squad. Events include the Homecoming Parade on Friday night, a Tailgater at the Baseball Diamond on Saturday Morning, the Homecoming Game and an Alumni Reception Saturday Evening.

This Annual event takes place at Carver Hawkeye Arena, it is usually hosted in February. Cheerleading Teams, Dance Teams and Mascots from around the Midwest come to compete.
